imbagon and mending refrain
I would like to know your guys thoughts on why imbagon does not include mending refrain. I know it would take a long time to get all of the echos up and going, but once up, you have to spam anthem of flame anyway to keep agressive refrain going. Your thoughts anyone.

Very simple. There's not enough space on your bar, not enough attribute points to make it worthwhile, and it forces you to spam a shout every ~10 seconds. The Imbagon's job is to keep SY up, not to maintain echo mending on the party. A second Paragon with Motivation would be better if you want that. Imbagon does not require Anthem of Flame, btw. You can maintain AR with TNtF.
The core of the Imbagon build is 5 skills:
[Focused Anger][For Great Justice][Aggressive Refrain][Save Yourselves][There's Nothing to Fear]
Then you add 2 spear attacks, and one slot for whatever. Mending Refrain can't go in that slot, because it requires a 10 second recharge chant or shout to maintain it, so that is now 7 skills on your bar, leaving you with only one slot left for a spear skill.
You could drop FGJ if you have Essence of Celerity, and then drop Spear to 11 before runes, but Mending Refrain is underwhelming when you are reducing over 80% of damage that applies to armor.

Standard Imbagon bar runs a 14-12-7 spec, meaning you'd have to reshuffle your attributes to get the +3 regen from Mending Refrain.
It would be more desirable to stick on your heroes and an effectively constant 6 Health per second party wide heal is quite substantial if you can be bothered to constantly refresh your heroes shouts and chants on recharge.

I used to run it before it was nerfed. The good thing about it was you can bring multiple headsets and swap them out. Cast AR under +leadership to get it at 20ish seconds, cast Mending Refrain under +motivation and you had it for 20 seconds at +4 regen, then swap to +spear and cut things. In NM that +regen was just about all I needed, a healer was just for show . Worked well in HM too. It probably still works ok with mending refrain at +3 regen for 15 seconds, but less powerful and harder to keep up. Upside is you only need a 4 spec with the +4 motivation headpiece to cast it, so very little attribute distribution. Remember that There's nothing to Fear also is giving you up to an effective +3 regen, so you already have some party wide healing, mending refrain isn't going to make the huge difference.

If you do bring [Mending Refrain] then I totally suggest using ["They're On Fire!"] to keep it up. Make sure to bring stuff like [Anthem of Flame] and/or [Blazing spear] to make the most out of it

Because its pointless to have this extra bit of heal when you're preventing so much damage with TNTF and SY.
Anthem of flame is terrible and shouldn't be used to keep aggressive refrain going. [go for the eyes] is a better skill and is sometimes used in a imbagon skill bar.
You would probably benefit more by more by saving a slot for DPS instead of an extra bit of heal.

not rly, it twas used semi often in GvG. A party wide +3 unstrippable heal is pretty broken. Mending but unstrippable and free is PRETTY DECENT. It's less healing on the monks, which frees up energy for them.

What he said ^. The other mending sucks because it has to be maintained and primary monk shouldn't carry it, and secondary monk have to put point into healing attribute. Party wide regeneration can take some pressure off monk that's why people used to use Never Surrender and atm Recupperation also.
